In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

4 reasons to book
  • Unbeatable location in the Old Town — Guests repeatedly mention being able to walk everywhere, with the main square just a couple of minutes away.
  • Historic building with character — The 1834 building, with its grand staircase and stained-glass windows, creates an atmospheric setting that many guests appreciate.
  • Free parking on site — Several guests note the availability of parking in front of the hotel, a rare perk in the city center.
  • Supportive and courteous staff — The team is frequently praised for helpfulness, from providing airport transfers to loaning items like hairdryers.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Nightlife noise on weekends — The surrounding area is full of bars and restaurants, so expect some street noise, especially on weekend nights.
  • No air conditioning in most rooms — Only the deluxe rooms and apartments have air conditioning; standard rooms rely on heating.
  • Aging infrastructure — The old building has quirks like creaky stairs, which some may find charming but others might consider a drawback.
  • Inconsistent room cleanliness — While most find rooms clean, the cleanliness rating is lower than other categories, and one guest noted rooms were 'clean enough'.

“The location is super convenient – two minutes to the square. They even offered to arrange a ride to the airport on our departure day. Found free parking right in front of the hotel.”

9.1Verified guest

9.1Verified guest

“I'd recommend this hotel to anyone. It's modern, clean, has supportive staff, and a historic location near the center. Great value, well-equipped rooms with separate beds, and excellent customer service – they even provide an airport shuttle. Parking is available in front.”

9.1Verified guest

“Good value for the money. The location is ideal – you can walk everywhere. We had a single and a double room, both cozy and clean. No hairdryer in the room, but reception provided one. Didn't notice air conditioning. The hotel is old (from 1834), which makes it interesting – a huge, beautiful staircase that squeaks melodiously, and stained-glass windows. Breakfast was fine. Weekend nights were noisy, but that's expected with all the bars and restaurants around – not the hotel's fault. We were very satisfied.”

9.1Verified guest

“I really liked the location – right in the historic center, close to all the sights. The old building and its decor create a great atmosphere.”
